Our forefather Lucas Vanderburgh was a sergeant in the East India Company, and arrived in New Amsterdam in 1653.  Ten more generations of Vanderburghs have lived in America, including both patriots and loyalists during the American Revolution.  His descendants include Presidents Ford, GHW Bush and GW Bush.  Vanderburgh County in Indiana is also named for one of our relatives.

We love family, politics, history, religion, and philanthropy.  We're optimistic about the American spirit, and treasure our zeal for positive change.  We value our freedom, and those who don't agree with our opinions.  We're mindful of history's lessons, and our tendency to forget them.  We recognize the positive influence most world religions have on humanity.  Our love of mankind is the greatest gift we can share; philanthropy is a central goal of our time, talent, and treasure.
